(Spunge)

Live at Leeds Festival 2002 on Sunday, 25th August 2002

Well-established ska-punkers [spunge] were watched by a large crowd in the Evening Session Tent. They've been plying their trade for years and are now on the third album 'The Story So Far'. The fit extremely neatly in to the ska-punk box toting a brass section along with their catchy guitar hooks, infectious melodies and punky riffs. Top forty single 'Jump On Demand' gets the crowd doing just as commanded and hot live favourite has the tent erupt in bedlam. It does all begin to sound a bit the same after several sessions of jogging on the spot dancing. [spunge] are a fun loving, happy band and this leaps off the stage and invites the uninitiated to al least tap their feet. One thing's for sure, they aren't just flash-in-the-pan ska-punkers. The hoards of fans will continue to soak up [spunge] for a few years more.
