By Sneaky Sound System
Sneaky Sound System are 2 guys on the club scene in Australia who, in time honoured tradition, have recruited singer Connie Mitchell to add a little glamour to proceedings.
The result is UFO, a 120 bpm disco biscuit that's already been picking up airplay on Radio 1.
These guys even had a page in a Sunday paper last week. Why? Well they must have a good PR machine in full flow behind them as even judged purely as disposable pop it's a little too disposable.
Connie sings of seeing a UFO and no one believing her, she has an honest face so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt but even her decent performance her can't save the song sounding like Australia's first Eurovision entry. On now, very briefly, at a club and radio station near you.
Now let me go and find Bowie's 'Starman' and follow it up with the Carpenters' 'Calling Occupants'. That's what I call a close encounter.
