Go Brooklyn, Go Brooklyn. The Borough hasn't been this trendy since the golden age of hip-hop, but instead of taking the afro indie fractured beats route, the 'stilts come over all Factory 1980 with this slice of reverb heavy post-punk.
You can hear Joy Division and a little Jesus and the Mary Chain, but Factory also had a lot of bands who had the doom laden vocals and the simple snare driven beats, but who didn't have the songs or the melodies to stand out.
At the moment there's not enough Joy Division and a little too much Section 25. You can judge for yourself at the Brudenell on the 24th Feb. Long Overcoats not compulsory.
