Debut from a Rochdale four piece; two very self-assured, well produced, competent pieces of stadium-aspiring rock.

First track, 'Nightmares' begins with gentle strumming and a delicate verse into a heavy chorus full of bombast. 'Conscience' is more interesting, funkier drums, quiet/loud again but with more pace and a nicely judged chorus. All very Muse, all very impressive for so young a band, exciting but strangely charmless, with no sign of the humour and tongue-in-cheekness of Muse or QOTSA, or more indie rock such as Biffy Clyro.

Maybe these things come from experience, and if this debut is anything to go by 'The Hidden Revolution' could be around for a while.
