Castrovalva will release their debut album on 4th May 2009. The debut self-titled record is Castrovalva’s first release on Leeds label Brew Records and is the follow up to their self released “Live At The Library” CD.

Recorded by Ross Halden at Ghost Town Studios, the album was written in the space of a week with the recording of ‘Dream Carpet’ completely improvised during the one take recording process.

Castrovalva have grown rapidly since their first gig together in late 2007 and their debut self CD was self released in January 2008.

This release now sees Castrovalva harness their powerful sound and drive it into harsh improvisational bass-driven progressive rock.

To celebrate the release of their debut mini album on Brew Records, Castrovalva will be playing a free instore gig at Crash Records at 5pm on Tuesday 5th May. Entry is completely free and fans will be able to buy a copy of the album.
