No, you're not listening to the spawn of ELO. Kid British's single could be mistaken for it though. Could they ramble on about beans on toast any more? It's quite addictive, influenced by pop, ska, reggae and all over the outfit, the Manchester four-some clearly have a passion for what they are doing, I just don't think it was quite executed to perfection.
Simple catchy music creating a backbone hook for the half-wit lyrics draws you in and keeps you there until you can muster the energy to fight free. Give it a couple of lessons and you'll be swinging your way out. They definitely have potential; I just think 'Sunny Days' could not break through the clouds this time. Summer music for the youth of the UK; or perhaps...Kid British.
