Rebel Blues

By Outraze

The second single from Oxfordshire five-piece Outraze oozes confidence. Packed with pumping drumbeats, classy riffs and long, wailing guitars, 'Rebel Blues' is a poised and professional-sounding second release, delivered with a cool, bluesy edge.

Inbetween turning out classy riffs that'll make you itch to air guitar, and drums that'll have you tapping your feet, frontman Andy White turns out a whiskey-tinged, pub-rock holler that isn't quite as powerful and hooky as it perhaps could be, but there's no denying it's a perfect fit for 'Rebel Blues's foot-stamping rock. So, while the vocals aren't clear and strong enough to get you singing along, they contribute to the classy, bluesy atmosphere, and there's more than enough here to make up for the lack of vocal hooks.

'Rebel Blues' is a shot of cool, old school rock 'n roll, without a gimmick in sight.
