Escort Knights are a 4 piece Dance-Pop band mixing funk bass lines, house beats with that pop sheen. Driven by a belief that music can be a powerful substitute for prozac, their combination of electronic sounds, live instruments and tongue in cheek lyrics tells tales of late night trials and next day tribulations, drawing inspiration from early 90s Madchester, 70s disco and contemporary electro.
Based in the heart of the vibrant Leeds music scene, Escort Knights have been filling dance floors since late 2010, quickly making a name for themselves in Yorkshire after being asked to supply the official soundtrack to the brand new Leeds Arena. The subsequent track I Don't Know Your Name was then released as a single, quickly selling out of the limited run of physical copies and receiving acclaim from local press and radio.
Escort Knights have gigged extensively across the UK, headlining venues such as Proud Galleries Camden, Leeds Cockpit as well as gracing the
stage at 2011's Live at Leeds Festival.
