As Birds We'd Be Fine
By Ice Black Birds
'As Birds We'd Be Fine' is Brighton based Ice Black Birds' second single. It has a slow, steady Kings of Leon feel about the verse that gradually builds to a chanting style chorus. They do such a good job I'm sure KOL would be proud enough to call it their own.
The flip track is the excellent 'Doors.' A crunchy, blues riff with an upbeat 60's beat rhythm mixed with an authentic psychedelic sound. The song bounces around from melodic chorus to a moody riff to powerful, gut busting verses. It's got all the ingredients for a true classic.
Both tracks are bright and catchy, and grab you the moment you hear them. The charm is in the execution, there's nothing complex about them they just sound right.
