Biography

Based in Leeds and York, Mimi & The Leaders are a 3 piece band with a big infectious sound.

We are currently in the studio perfecting the new songs and hope to have a CD ready for distribution in the next few months.

Amy - Lead Vocalist/Songwriter has featured on Rhythm Code's single "Pushin Me" and is set to impress with her vocal style on the new tracks for Mimi and the Leaders.

Charles - Songwriter/Drums/Samples has played for many bands in the UK and has performed at prestigious venues, such as Hed Kandi, Glastonbury, and the Federation Club in Leeds, The HiFi Club and The Brudenell Club.

David - Guitarist/FX/Bass has performed alongside Charles in various bands and also played for The Bluefoot Project who have played Glastonbury and recently obtained Radio 1's album of the month.

Johnny - Guitar FX is The youngest and most enthusiastic member of the band he fills out the sound well and his solo's impress.

Mimi & The Leaders are set to storm the UK music industry and will have you tapping your feet immediately.

I agree with everything you are saying.... I think that this band have had it hard from some of the reviewers on the Leeds Music Scene...

I suppose its probably because they are not "weird" enough and that all these reviewers are looking for something "new" which unless somebody invents a new instrument with a completely new musical spectrum they will not find.

Most reviewers aren't open minded enough these days and if it isn't to their taste they assume that it is substandard... Its a shame....

I can openly say the Mimi and The Leaders are a great band and I look forward to more from them in the future...
