Kids In Glass Houses

Live at Leeds Metropolitan University on Saturday, 20th November 2010

'Dirt The Musical Part 2' is the name of the tour, from Kids In Glass Houses, which has rolled into Leeds Met for a Saturday night filled of sing-a-longs and energetic dancing. A homage to the bands love of musicals and the final tour off the back of their 2010 album 'Dirt'.

Kicking off their set with the song 'Sunshine', from their 'Dirt' album, pulls the crowd into the lyrics and guitar riffs from the off and grips them all the way through the set.

With a brilliant light show, well thought out stage props and a well-groomed band to entertain us for just over a hour and half, the audience are in for a treat which was reflected in the constant jumping and singing.

KIGH set list is full of their latest album's offerings, such as their current single 'The Best Is Yet To Come', 'Undercover Lover' and 'Saturday', which had the backlights to match the song lyrics. This was a pretty impressive show, almost a theatre performance for Leeds Met Uni.

Standing at the back watching the crowd enjoy the banter from Aled Phillips, the lead singer, and laugh along with him, then proceeding to do as they were told and sing the stand out bits in the songs, such as "HEY" from 'Young Blood (Let it out)' was a spectacular sight.

After seeing KIGH a few times this year, and witnessing their performance at Leeds Fest, this show at Leeds Met proves how much of an awesome band they are. They are on their way up to the big time, and 2011 is sure to bring them even more success.

Stating that Leeds is one of their favourite cities to play was proven by the crowd interaction. When they announced this tour in June, Leeds was added at a later date, let us hope they don't miss their favourite city out in the future, so we can witness another amazing show from the Welsh band.
