Dunwell Brothers invite Lucie Silvas to play rare Leeds gig at the Brudenell
The Dunwell Brothers Band return home to Leeds on the 20th January to present a fundraising night of fantastic music featuring special guests!!
The band are thrilled to return to their homelands after a grueling 40 date UK tour, and announce an evening of musical entertainment on the 20th January at Brudenell Social Club to raise money for their upcoming journey across the pond to the USA. The night will feature live music from the band themselves, Skinny Machines, Jamie Lawson but also very special guest - the international singing sensation Lucie Silvas! Lucie will be taking a special break from her recording commitments to get involved with this exciting musical event and will be performing some of her top ten chart hits such as "Breathe In" with her own band, as well as singing with the Dunwell Brothers band themselves. This is the first time Lucie has performed in Leeds for over 3 years so audiences can expect something special!
The band have been invited to perform at the prestigious Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, Tennessee this February (http://www.folkalliance.org/) which will see Electra Records legend Jac Holzman (responsible for signing The Doors, Love and Tim Buckley) appear as a special guest. The Folk Alliance Conference began in 1989 and serves as the headquarters for Folk Music and Dance with over 2000 members worldwide and an annual conference that is one of the five largest music conferences in North America. Over the years, the conference has grown to include record companies, publishers, presenters, agents, managers, music support services, manufacturers and artists that work in the folk world.
