By Kill 'em Dead Cowboy
Heavy guitars and deep growls lash out at you when listening to the new album from Kill 'Em Dead Cowboy. These Portsmouth metallers have assaulted us with a gigantic riff exploding debut.
The band are currently touring in mainland Europe, getting themselves know in time for the summer release of the album, which had the title "I am Salvation".
With a couple of EPs under their studded belts and with comparisons with Atreyu and Asking Alexandria, it's a safe bet this band will be exploding into the metalcore scene soon.
The album gives a feel of angst, but with lyrics such as "Thought I saw your face in a crowded place. My lungs skip a breath," it's clear the album is full of deep meaningful love songs and powerful lyrics, as well a manly style of metal headbanging.
Stand out tracks include album opener "Lust & Lies Spell Flashing Lights" and slower paced to start with "I am Salvation", but kicking in with the similar heaviness of previous songs.
On Kill 'Em Dead Cowboy's facebook, they admit they don't fit into a particular style of music; maybe they will be the ones to open up a new genre this year. This growling band of 5 are sure to awaken people to their powerful, testosterone fueled album in 2011.
