The official launch for Leeds 2011 will be Monday, March 21st at 7pm, according to the festival website, which went live today.

At the launch event the organisers are expected to announce the three Main Stage headliners, plus NME/Radio One Stage headliners, along with a number of other acts set to appear at the festival.

Rumours this year have been varied, with Muse, The Strokes, and My Chemical Romance topping fan's lists and website gossip columns.

Indeed, earlier this year, Melvyn Benn fuelled the rumour mill when he told BBC Newsbeat that the headliners would once again be exclusive and would not be found topping any other UK festival this summer.

We are running our own Leeds Festival Facebook page for the festival, which we would invite all Leeds Music Scene readers to join.

Leeds Festival tickets are expected to be priced at around £190 this year, and should once again be available through See Tickets and TicketMaster.

Leeds Festival 2011 takes place between Friday, August 26th and Sunday 28th August at Bramham Park.
