Danny and the Lost Souls have had an exciting May. On the back of winning the Leeds University Battle of the Bands competition at the prestigious Brudenell Social Club, the young quartet led by 'funk-soul visionary' Danny Toeman will be releasing their debut EP with a launch at the renowned 360 Club on Friday 20th May (tonight).

They also played a live session Thursday 12th May on BBC Introducing West Yorkshire. Listeners of the show in West Yorkshire will already be familiar with the unique soul styling of Danny, resident DJ Alan Raw having previously spun a number of his records.

Said Alan Raw, 'the superb Danny Toeman. When I met him at the 360 Club at the Library, he sort of struck me as being a much younger, even funkier Richard Dreyfuss. Just something about him... and then there's that incredible singing voice, how cool can you get?! That guy's amazing!"

In a unique twist, the group have let the public and their fans decide the name of their upcoming EP via a poll, with the result to be announced tonight when the EP will be available from midnight.
