Aaron Snowdon checked in with Canterbury before their February gig at the Cockpit.

Hi guys, how's it going?

Hello! All good cheers.

So first of all, how excited are you at the prospect of your second album being released very soon?

Oh a bit too excited really, it's definitely been a long process of perfecting every part of it but we have pretty much finished now and can't wait for everyone to hear it!

Your single 'Ready Yet?' has been greeted with some great response, how does that make you feel?

The response to 'Ready Yet?' has been amazing, it's quite a different sounding song for us so to know everyone seems to like it is really cool. Any new song comes with a bit of risk I guess but this song seems to be going down really well, so yes it does feel good!! Ha.

You've just set off on you're first headline tour of 2012, and hit Leeds Cockpit on the fifth of February. Are you excited to be back in Leeds?

Oh yes definitely, Leeds is always good to us and the Cockpit is a great venue, I'm pretty sure we have already sold more tickets than our last show there over a year ago, so very excited!

Late last year you visited Europe with You Me At Six, what was that like?

The European shows were alot of fun, we got to play places we've never played before which is always great, but there was a really good group of people on that tour so the whole thing just flew by... a bit too quickly really, we can't wait to go back!

I also believe you're heading out on your own headline tour in Europe, that's got to feel good, hasn't it?

Yes, well a German tour, but it's amazing, like I said playing new places is a really good feeling, knowing that you can notch off another country from your headline belt. Though I have a feeling it will leave us with a bigger hunger to go everywhere else!

Finally, can we expect to hear a good taster of the new album in Leeds?

Yes, we've played our first album for a good few years now so can't wait to show the UK some new songs!

Thanks very much guys!
