As we announced back in January, Leeds Festival organisers Festival Republic are putting in place a ticket installment scheme for Leeds 2012.

As outlined by Melvin Benn during the interview back in January the deposit scheme has been set up in time for the official Leeds 2012 ticket sale in the middle of March.

The payment plan will run by official ticket agencies See Tickets, Ticketmaster and Ticketline who will allow Leeds Festival music fans to split the full cost of buying their tickets into either 2 or 4 monthly instalments.

A fan spreading their purchase into two will pay an initial payment is 50% of face value (plus £8 booking fee per ticket) with a second payment of 50% of face value (plus £5.25 postage fee per transaction) at a later date.

The plan for those paying in four installments will be similar. The initial payment will be 25% of the face value (plus £8.00 booking fee per ticket), followed by two subsequent monthly payments at 25% of face value. A fourth and final payment at 25% payment of face value (plus £5.25 postage fee per transaction) will then be required.

The face value cost of a ticket for Leeds 2012 has not yet been announced but weekend tickets are expected to be in the region of £200.

Tickets go on sale in mid-March (probably the 19th). You will find a list of approved Leeds ticket sellers via this short url: bit.ly/leeds2012tickets.
