The winners of the annual Futuresound 2012 competition were announced yesterday following the conclusion of the heats earlier this week.
The overall winner of the Futuresound competition is Post War Glamour Girls, who will take to the NME / Radio One Stage at both Reading and Leeds Festival sites. The band will play on the Sunday in Leeds.
The remaining five places - all on the BBC Introducing Stage - went to Black Moth, Bearfoot Beware, Marsicans, We Were Frontiers and Backyards.
The annual event is now in its 12th year and sees several hundred local bands and musicians enter with sixty bands playing at heats throughout June and July.
