More Leeds bands added to Leeds Festival line up
Following on from the announcements last week from Futuresound and Centre Stage, organisers of the annual Leeds Festival have today confirmed the full line up for the BBC Introducing Stage.
As revealed on Leeds Music Scene last week, Glassbody will be playing on the BBC Introducing Stage as winners of Centre Stage 2012 at the O2 Academy on Tuesday.
And after the conclusion of Futuresound 2012 at the end of last week, Glassbody were joined on the BBC Introducing Stage line up by fellow Yorkshire bands Black Moth, Bearfoot Beware, Marsicans, We Were Frontiers and Backyards.
In today's announcement the line up was completed by yet more local bands in Crooked Tongues, Hawk Eyes, and Marmozets.
The full line up in alphabetical order is: Attention Thieves, Backyards, Bearfoot Beware, Black Moth, Crooked Tongues, Cut Ribbons, Danica Hunter, Deaf Club, Dear Prudence, Dingus Khan, Empror & Duppy Beatz, Escape To New York, Escapists, The Establishment, Family of the Year, Fish Tank , Glassbody, Hawk Eyes, Hildamay, Ifan Dafydd, Lady Lykez, Marmozets, Marsicans, Max Raptor, Mikill Pane, Park Bench Society, Proxies, Rachel Sermanni, RIO, Samoans, Sarah Williams White, Seasfire, Vengeance and the Panther Queen, Wet Nuns, We Walk On Ice, and We Were Frontiers.
All bands will appear at both Reading and Leeds sites.
Over the years the BBC Introducing Stage has seen debut performances from Leeds band Pulled Apart By Horses (who will make their Main Stage debut this year), Two Door Cinema Club (NME/Radio 1 Stage second headliner 2012) and Don Broco, who move onto the Festival Republic Stage this year after their amazing performance in 2011 on the BBC Introducing Stage.
As well as Centre Stage and Futuresound, the bands that play at Leeds Festival are also chosen by BBC's countrywide Introducing shows and festival promoters Festival Republic.
