The Mexanines to release their debut single
The Mexanines have announced the release of their debut single later this month.
The single - Shimmer - is the Q Magazine "single of the week" and also features in the next issue of Artrocker.
In 2011 The Mexanines secured a spot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Leeds Festival after winning the Centre Stage 2011 competition and this year has also seen recognition for the Halifax three-piece when they were a unanimous choice at the Musicians Benevolent Fund Songwriting Awards.
The band impressed some of the biggest names in the business, walking away with the main award of the night - Songwriter of the Year.

'Shimmer' will be released on 20th August 2012 and you'll be able to get your hands on it through iTunes and other online stores.
