By Tall Ships
The long awaited debut album from the three piece experimental loop band, Tall Ships, have teased and tormented us with two EPs and singles 'T=O' & 'Gallop' to finally construct a debut worthy of nothing but praise.
'Everything Touching' takes you on a journey. It is a journey of math, loop and distortion, with an absence of lyrics in parts making the tracks come alive. You're free; free to let your mind go wild with the atmospheric choppy guitar effects and blood curdling majestic rhythm.
'Everything Touching' surpasses the EP 'There Is Nothing But Chemistry Here' (2010). The release is far more adventurous, with elements of beauty flooding the hull. Versions of old EP tracks 'Books' and 'Ode To Ancestors' have been re-created and yes, they are indeed different. They're more relaxed, toned down and tweaked from the, dare I say, under-produced elements for this release.
Tall Ships have given us an album which we should grasp with two hands, making make the idea of being in a band sound so attractive.
'Everything Touching' - Touching everything.
