By Liar Liar
'He Said, She Said' is the new E.P. from Sheffield based pop-punkers Liar Liar. The band's sound boasts a suitably teen angsty feel mashed together with epic stadium rock riffs reminiscent of 'Good Charlotte' and 'You Me At Six'. Never subdued, the power-pop outfit boast buckets of energy and a vigorously youthful approach which makes for a release that's definitely worth checking out.
While their sound isn't exactly a new one, Liar Liar are undoubtedly very good at what they do, 'He Said, She Said' is a bouncy and infectious debut. Standout tracks include 'Heart Attack' and 'High N Low' but all 4 songs on the E.P. are rock solid and very enjoyable. Safe to say, it will certainly get the nostalgic pangs flowing for anyone from the Blink 182 generation!
Production is fittingly slick with artwork by Alex Tillbrook and the release oozes self-confidence. My only qualm here would absolutely be the slightly garish overuse of auto-tune... While this crops up constantly in pop-punk, it can be overpowering and at times tacky. But fortunately a little auto-tune does nothing to get in the way of the hefty riffs and catchy hooks found here. Overall, this is an enjoyable outing from Liar Liar and worthy of any pop-punk connoisseurs' time.
'He Said, She Said' is set to be released on Monday 5th November through all digital stores and be sure to check the band's facebook page www.facebook.com/liarliarmusic for all tour dates.
