Old Bones

By Ursa Major

Heavy as... something you can't really write in a music review. (But you get the picture). Reminds me of Bullet for my Valentine meets Rise to Remain. Really loving the dynamic of the track 'Fist of the Fleet,' I can already visualise the circle pit.

The drums are sweet as. Tight and precise as they should be. The bass sounds really chunky too which should really shake the room as this is metalcore after all. The guitars are heavy and light at the same time, played beautifully then the vocals just do what they need to. Growl and sing in a way that lifts the tracks to a new height.

My worry is that there are so many bands out there like this, there isn't anything to separate these from anyone else. Ursa Major are very good musically and lyrically. But so are a lot of bands in these styles. A suggestion is that they could possible go even heavier.
