Hahaha, I like this. It's fun. Starts off like an acid infused weather forecast, the refrain of "I can feel the heat underneath the breeze" nonsensically evoking visions of Michael Fish having a mid-life crisis in the post-hurricane years. It's got a bit of everything, disco, indie, funk. Sounds a bit like Orange Juice. Or an un-annoying Franz Ferdinand.
The nonsensical theme continues: "I bought some shorts the other day/ it's all I can afford on my wage/ so I put a poster up in my room/ midnight beach, I'll be there!" It doesn't matter though, 'cos soon enough my feet are tapping, I'm smiling and shaking my shoulders to the infectious beat. To put into context of how amazing that is, I'm the kind of guy that tries to persuade my mates to go to Sky Sports pubs at 11pm on a Saturday night so I can watch PGA Tour golf. Pretty fucking startling, then.
