By Me, You And Thomas
Last week saw the release of 'Me, You And Thomas's latest single 'Eventually'. A great effort from the two piece Lo-Fi indie rock band, following their last single 'Blue Tin'.
The first thing to note from the EP is the perfect contrast between the sombre voice of Rhianna (guitarist & vocalist), and the aggressive guitar and drum playing in the chorus of 'Eventually' . Joe's (drummer) drum playing fits perfectly in creating pace as well as supplementing the more peaceful 'Boundary'. Although they are a two-piece the pure genius in song writing means that vocals, guitar and drums are more than enough to keep the listener engaged with the music. The production helps with this, layering the vocals in interesting ways as well as keeping a basic mix to really let the songs speak for themselves.
Although this is not a pop record there are plenty of moments that will get stuck in your head, and have you wanting to listen to this single again and again. From the driving drum beat on 'Stop Here' to the vocal line "I want you to help me but I don't know how to ask" on 'Boundary'. Simply put this is great music, check it out.
