We caught up with Leeds-based psych-grunge-alt-pop five-piece and LMS favourites, Allusondrugs, during a recent creative photo shoot.
Allusondrugs are currently working on new material, to follow last year's EP and 'Should Have Gone To Uni' & 'Am I Weird?' free singles, all of which are available to download here.
LMS caught up with the guys for a creative photo shoot with Neil Chapman at Unholy Racket Music Pics. The idea was to capture the action and energy of the band in a studio shoot. On stage the guys never stop hurling themselves around, so we used white powder (don't get excited, it was self-raising) in an explosive way to show the movement.
Never has so much fun been had with a bag of self-raising flour...
Allusondrugs have announced an extensive run of UK headline shows and festival appearances, to follow their stint as support act on Enter Shikari's Mindsweep UK tour
We asked Drey a few questions about being out on the road.
LMS - What do you always take on tour?
Drey - A really good CD collection for the drives - there is always something for everyone. We're currently listening to Daft Punk now.
LMS - What do you miss most about home when on tour?
Drey - Not much really. Just the standard stuff after about 5-6 days - bed, friends, family etc.
LMS - What is the funniest thing that has happened on tour?
Drey - Damo locked the keys in the van after a show in Brighton just as we were about to load out.. It was the most horrible, funny and beautiful thing ever. It's all on our September Tour Documentary on our YouTube channel.
Allusondrugs are currently on tour with Enter Shikari before their own headlining tour in March and April. They will return to this area on Sunday 5th April with a headlining gig at Warehouse 23 in Wakefield [tickets] and will support Pulled Apart by Horses at Leeds University on Friday 1st May [tickets].
