Live at Leeds Festival 2015 on Thursday, 27th August 2015
I begin 2015's Leeds Festival on Thursday evening, at the Welcome To Leeds stage, with local band Vitamin. Despite only having launched last year the boys know how to put on a show. This is evident from the start as swirling synthesizers and glittery guitars introduce 'Giving It Up', the lead track from Vitamin's debut E.P, released the following day. The crowd are whipped up into a frenzy by the unique blend of Indie Rock and Future Pop delivered by the Leeds quartet, and many hands are held aloft for catchy chorus' a-plenty. Drummer, Theo, is a joy to watch as he effortlessly dances between Cymbals and snare drum, holding tight grooves and driving the band forward through the early evening performance. Tracks 'Miss You' and 'To Believe' grab yet more attention before front man Jared throws out a Vitamin branded bomber jacket, snatched up by a member of the audience who wants to join the T-Birds style gang of four in their matching attire. There is a feeling of community in the crowd and the festival is off to a flying start, many music fans huddled around the small stage, desperate to see the first set of bands of the weekend.
