Live at Leeds Festival 2015 on Thursday, 27th August 2015
I began my Leeds Festival 2015 on Thursday evening, at the "Welcome To Leeds Festival" stage, with local band Pulled Apart by Horses. This is a band who have been steadily gaining support and have been rather busy, gigging around UK, Europe and Australia, since they released the release of their highly acclaimed third album "Blood". I know how much they love Leeds Festival and they were thrilled to be back after the disappointment of cancelling their Main Stage appearance in 2014.
I have to admit, I was also really happy to see the guys playing a well-earned headline slot at the Festival this year.
Pulled Apart by Horses have always been fantastic live, a must see band, and this special gig was no exception, belting out classics like 'I Punched a Lion in the Throat'. PABH, with an explosive energy, put everything into new songs from their last album 'Hot Squash' and 'Medium Rare', proving their talent and that this was definitely place to be. And of course, a great set closer 'High Five, Swan Dive, Nose Dive' made this (without a doubt) one of the best performances from this year's festival. I was totally blown away and those who missed Pulled Apart by Horses, really missed out.
I tried to catch up with the guys, but they were off early the next day, in the direction of Switzerland, to play some more festivals.
I will be looking forward to seeing them again soon. Pulled Apart by Horses have just announced a UK tour with The Cribs, starting in October. What could be better for this autumn guys!?
