Biography
Johnny Cronin after returned to his native Ireland after years battleing the backroom shithole circut of the U.K. set about putting a band together that could play as big as the noise he had in his head. Had quite a few false starts before he got the right band and started recording. Some tracks were produced by Phil Vinall, famous for his work with Placebo, Elastica and Pulp, perhaps the band with the most in common to Johnny's positive urbane outlook. Terry Edwards, whose work with Tindersticks is well documented, contributes, as does Damien Rice cellist Vyvienne Long, Steve Wickham of the Waterboys, Una O'Kane (renowned for her work with U2 and Bellx1 among others) and Paul Weller keyboardist Helen Turner, and Duncan Patterson (Anathema/Antimatter) appearing on bass from time to time.
