Beacons Metro 2016 takes places over a fortnight in late October/early November and festival programmers Super Friendz have brought together an eclectic line up of forward thinking events from the worlds of pop, experimental, psych, grime, techno and further.

Leading the first announcement is LA five piece Local Natives who recently broke a year of silence with a pop up show in San Francisco and the surprise release of their first new track in three years, Past Lives.

Joining them is South London MC and producer Roots Manuva playing an intimate show at Belgrave Music Hall; acclaimed Leeds psych heroes Hookworms will co-curate a special night at Holy Trinity Church; and composer/producer Anna Meredith, whose debut album received glowing reviews as well as Best New Music on Pitchfork, with the taste making site describing her as "one of the most innovative minds in modern British music". The eclectic line-up is bolstered by a debut northern show by WALL with more shows to be announced very soon.
