The only way you can describe The Humour in one word is different. If you ask the fans, if you ask the band themselves, they don't know what type of genre they come under. They aren't Emo, they aren't Heavy Metal and they certainly aren't from that "student indie scene" going on right now. Some people say they sound like "The Music", some people say they sound like "Red Hot Chilli Peppers", those two bands are the same kind of genre, but then when you have some people speak of "Rage Against the Machine" and "The Prodigy" as two other influences, clearly seen in The Humour's music, all hope of finding a genre is lost. The Humour started out just over a year ago, and since then, this group of friends have been making heads turn in every venue they play, they've been hailed by some, as being poised for 'Damn near the second wave of the British Invasion into America', but that's just a few peoples' opinions.
Their ambitions stretch beyond Wakefield, beyond England, they don't want to be part of a scene or part of an uprise. They want to set their own aspirations. Their own ambitions? ... to be the best band they can possibly be.
