Biography
indie rock
This band is no longer active. It may have split up or changed its name.
Spitfire Charlie formed at the end of 2003 after the 4 members met at Leeds Metropolitan University whilst studying music technology. The band consists of singer John Roberts, guitarist John Rennie, bassist Ben Kreczak and drummer Ben Handysides. The band have worked hard over the last 2 years to transform themselves into a sharp, edgy indie rock n roll band, honing their live performances and gaining a reputation as an excellent band to watch. Their most recent CD was recorded at Ghost-town studios in Hyde Park, and has received good reviews around Leeds. Also the first track "No Need to Fight" was played by Steve Lamacq on Radio 1 recently.
