Three Man Amp's take on the genre of indie rock is one that has been heard before and will most likely be heard again, thanks to the never ending supply of bands that are churned out by record labels to meet the demands of the lazy MTV2 fans, who base their musical tastes on the NME chart.

While tracks on this EP such as "Harbour" and "Mechanical Monkey eyes" are engaging now and then with their rock & roll choruses it's still almost impossible to be truly satisfied when you know full well there are plenty of other bands doing this better.

Final track "Lounge" is a laidback, trippy indie delight which is almost a Cypress Hill/Blur hybrid of stoner Britpop. Which at the end sees the band explode in a Sonic Youth styled conclusion to round off the EP.

You could do worse than check out this band but you could also do a lot better. Middle of the road rock for middle of the road people.

Is there anyone who is as astute as you Si? The rest of us plebs can only dream of one day sharing in your superior knowledge of music we can only hope of hearing!
