The Ga Gas are being heavily tipped to be the next big 'rock and roll' band, following the likes of The Darkness and Velvet Revolver. That's a lot to live up to, especially for such a young band.
The first song on this double A-side, "Replica", comes at you with one of the catchiest, sleaziest guitar riffs you're going to hear this year, you'll be hooked on this song within the first 5 seconds. Add to that a heavy bass line, pounding drums, a stunningly melodic chorus and a singer with a voice strong enough to pull off lines like "I'm gonna jet to headfuck city and get my head fucked" and you have a band who are living up to their hype.
Second track "KO" takes on a slightly mellower, more laidback feel with silky harmonies and a slower tempo but still maintains the heavy riffs and sleazy rock attitude that oozes throughout "Replica" and with a chorus that begs you to sing along, it's just as catchy as the first track.
To sum up, if you like rock and roll, you'll like this.
