By Agent Blue

Yodelling is an art not to be trifled with. In most cases it is neither big nor clever. Agent Blue are not the exception, they are the rule.

This track is reminiscent of the fillers put on "The Best Album in The World... Ever!" compilations in the mid 1990's and sounds not unlike Morrissey sleeping over Idlewild on an off day.

This is dull, mediocre and symptomatic of the crap record companies put out to try and cash in on a musical happening. The culprits in this case are Island. Island are already responsible for bastardising rock and roll to sell to the lucrative Tweenie market in the form of Busted and latterly McFly (who took over from the former in a Logan's Run style coming of age. You can't see the join.) As the market becomes saturated with rubbish like Agent Blue it becomes harder to find the good stuff in amongst the pure unadulterated middle of the road shit and now that John Peel has sadly left this mortal coil I fear it will soon be almost impossible.

Oh what bullshit. Come on. You say it's mediocre and middle of the road, then give it no stars whatsoever? That's just a contradiction for the sake of it. There is no way that this is a completely worthless record, something that that rating implies. Also, the review tells absolutely nothing about the single itself. Nothing. Please. Just write about the song and leave your personal preferences and your angry persona out of it.

I thought that Dave LMS never allowed a reviewer to give 0 stars and always slapped on a 1/2 to give the band some dignity. Maybe this band are so bad they don't even dererve that.

Is this website run by music lovers or people with massive chips on their shoulders....if you were to see agent blue live you'd realise they were the best new band in britain...is it a crime to sign to a major label or are you just pissed off cos your band are a bit shit? AB were inspired in part by Leeds band The Music and Crossbreed wears their young hearts on their sleeves, but the band's overall sound is punky yet melodic and driving and very original and they are most definitely a real band, no fake scene chasers here my friend. I bet you didn't even listen to the cd did you? You are in the wrong job, the YTS boy or you like emo, i can't decide.....

I was so angry when I read this article I scared my housemate.

Ok so I am slightly biased when it comes to this band: I do in fact love them. They come from my home town and I am so proud of them it is unbelievable. Yet I'm not angry because you don't like them, your opinion is actually mattering to me less and less by the second. I am angry because you just slag them off and, like Lewis Denby says, not even comment on the song itself. It is totally out of order.

You have the cheek to mention John Peel, yet one of the reasons that man was so amazing is because he had time for all sorts of music. Did you ever hear his show? I don't think I ever heard him slating a band in such a manner that you did. And to award no stars at all is pathetic. They deserve some recognition at least for just getting off their arses and getting their sound out there.

Personally I think this song is one of their best yet. It's not just about the vocals, which you so professionally term as 'yodelling', but the guitars, the drums, all combine to produce a ripping couple of minutes of pure class. This band is exciting. If you can't see that then that's your problem. Go and listen to your Keane cds, that will thrill you.

I am so glad that there are other people out there that felt like I did when I read your 'review'. Woo to johhnyyen - they are fantastic live! You should see them play a home gig at The Sugarmill in Stoke, the atmosphere is amazing. A total sense of pride and adoration. Keep listening to them! Woo!

what the hell is this all about ? u must be the only reviewer in the country not to like agent blue . did u even listen to this song ? how can u say its dull lol thats just laughable . and to mention john peel ? u r just sick in the head . he never slagged any1 like u did , infact if u go to the john peel playlist archive u will find that mr peel god rest his soul played Agent Blue on several occasions . hes a legend . and 4 u to slag bands off like u have done here makes u just worthless . go make a cup of tea . tea boy . this is a site that ppl should go on strike against . they really dont know a thing . u reviewers should really do your homework . fair enough u yourself may not like the band but that review is just awful . it tells us nothing about the song at all . the only thing it says is that this band r rubbish well we all know that they really r not so we will keep supporting them until the day they split and they will continue to come up with these sort of songs .

Is that supposed to be support for the band? God help them.

Hmm they must be good though the zero star review they've got here and the previous 2 star review for their other single suggests otherwise.

The fact is though, that yep Agent Blue have had these bad reviews, but there's four people here angered by them and willing to stand up for them is there not? Reviews reflect the opinion of that particular person only and if you are basing your opinion on them alone then there is something wrong. Hear the band and then make your own mind up. Sure, most reviews can offer an insight into the band's music and perhaps give you some indication of what the band actually sound like, perhaps even giving you an idea of whether or not you're gonna like 'em. Yet the problem here is that the song wasn't even discussed, so it doesn't actually suggest anything about the single does it?

I've heard some stuff by this band. I agree that they don't deserve 0 stars. At least 1 or two seems fair.

I reviewed the other single in question, 'Something Else'. It was crap, generic rubbish and it got lucky i was in such a generous mood to give it 2 stars. wanna be cooper temple clause at best.
