Let's look at it simply. "Caravan", Percy's latest release on Mook Records, is a whirlwind blast of a catchy alt rock tune within quick-fire distorted guitars. Delivered in a "Tommy Gun" meets Sultans Of Ping style, the track discusses everything you could possibly think of relating to a cumbersome towed second-hand house and the escaping of humdrum city life.

Look at it more closely. There's no real depth to what Percy are trying to say. If you wanted a deep meaningful tune with clever lyrics, forget it, you're not going to get much more than schoolboy rhyming. In a reverse sense, perhaps that where the intelligence in this track lies, in its simplicity: "We could go and feed the ducks, And play Scrabble Deluxe" or "Caravan, A new life on the open road, Here's a plan, We hitch it up and off we go".

If you're a fan of the quirky Percy style then you'll love this CD, and if you haven't yet experienced Percy they're well worth trying.
