Up there with the best of them in the running for the "yeah, it's OK" song award are these guys, equipped with one of the most bizarre band names I've clapped eyes on in a while.
Everything you want from a catchy rock single is here - the catchiness, the rock, the melodies, the flawless vocals, the dynamics, etc. It's all here and it's all in droves, yet the single doesn't exactly reach out to you from the speakers and demand your attention. Maybe that's not such a bad thing, as nowadays, bands tend to need mountains of hype and shit recording ethics (e.g. The Libertines), to make themselves known.
Kudos to these guys for steering clear of the 'we can't play our instruments, and we won't even record what we can play very well' thing. It works, but only if you're not expecting some crazy German prog from the late 70s.
I bet this is pretty damn good live, but on CD, yeah, it's OK.
