Manchester residing trio I Am Kloot are currently experiencing a wave of resurgence after releasing their disappointing eponymous second album back in 2003. I Believe is the second single release from this year's fine Gods and Monsters album and is gorgeous blend of Americana and Manchester.
Vocalist and songwriter Johnny Bramwell delivers the poetic lines of positivity "I never thought I'd string along / I never thought we'd last this long" which on the face of it is possibly a reference to the band's short but prolific history. The single is the sort of song that you should enjoy in the coming English summer weather and, believe me, I Am Kloot don't usually do 'happy' so get it while you can.
Judging by the theme of this song I Am Kloot seem surprised they're still here. Who can blame them? Most bands don't make it to the third album, and I Am Kloot are wiser and more adept than ever.
