Selfish Ways

By Dogs

If debut effort 'She's Got A Reason' was anything to go by, Dogs are a great band. Rough around the edges, average British lads causing a bit of a raucous but doing so, so loud and abrasively and with so much heart as so it is impossible to resist. 'Selfish Ways' is a great listen. From the first spin, you can't help but nod and enjoy it. A great chorus line too - "Darling I'll bring you firewood, then I'll burn your house down", how can you not like that? Dogs won't be a big British band, they just won't. But that doesn't stop them gaining some sort of national underground acclaim that is warranted to them based on the underlying quality their material obviously possesses. It won't be 'scene' to be a Dogs fan, (their moniker could tell you that!), but as a guilty pleasure, Dogs are top of the list. Keep an eye out. Their bite could be worse than their bark... can't believe I said that.
