Having formed only just over a year and a half, this four piece are already on their second, self produced, EP and have a sound which is far more accomplished than you would expect for their time together, a kind of catchy, technically solid, alternative rock with a feeling of credibility. Just three tracks long, this EP is still enough to make an impression and leave you wanting more.
Guitars range from attention grabbing chugging riffs to delicate, intricate playing layered on top of creative bass lines all driven by some impressive drumming. The vocals are equally flexible ranging from almost confrontational on opening track 'What we were unaware of a week ago' to more subdued on the intro to final track 'Sherry Gunther' while the production completely belies the fact all three tracks were recorded in 'the factory' or at their bassists home on a multi-track.
With another EP on the horizon it's going to be very interesting to see which direction Glassfactory take their sound now.
