Easy Girl

By Snowblind

When a great band come together there are good odds on them coming from Manchester, so it is no surprise that Snowblind, a combination of Leeds' Jane Murphy and Liverpool's Paul Williams, claim a Manchester heritage. But sod which town they happened to meet up in, just be glad they did because this is a corking single! Snapped up by Independiente - after the EMI cull last year saw them dropped prior to the release of their debut album - the duo are incredible tunesmiths, delivering illustrious jingle-jangle guitar melodies from the summertime keyboard-pop hall of fame. Lead track on the single "Easy Girl" comes complete with highs, lows, mixed emotions and great vocals. "Hypnotised" is a Carpenters-era ballad, so tremendously soothing it's perfect. Beautifully melodic, deliciously tempting, thank your lucky stars that Independiente saw the light and are releasing what promises to be a great album.
