By Nylon Pylon
Nylon Pylon's latest effort shows a new side to the band who's electro-guitar style seems to alter more than you would've thought possible. This time round it's a slightly less guitary piece than Sister Siam, but some great uses of big beat, loads more blips and that massive treble effect that feels like your stomach's been dragged up and down.
It's a great monotonous quasi dub-bass and beats, which the occassionally lift for the "pushin" chorus until by the end it's reached a joyous cluster of sounds. The single mix ends far too quickly, but out of the 3 remixes it's the Jon Carter one that works the best, even if it is in a house music styley. The B-side Collyhurst, is a lot darker, driven by a thumping electro bass-line. and trashy drums, which leaves with the feeling that general repetative-ness of it all is a bit of a put off.
