Atropine are metal right down to the core. Everything is here from the double bass drums to the detuned guitar riffs. But through all that there is something missing. The vocals are just too sweet for this sort of music, and this I was disappointed at. There is nothing here that really captures the imagination. Dont get me wrong the music itself is played well, but it doesn't really go anywhere and in the end becomes slightly tedious. This was recorded in 2001 and I would like to think that their music will have progressed. Based on this EP, their music is stuck in a timewarp and needs some creativity. Some metal fans will no doubt love this, but it's not really my thing...
