Following on from the bittersweet electro of previous single 'Love Life', Manchester's Performance come storming back with another bouncy, glittering synth pop gem.
They've gone up in the world since then, signing with no less than Polydor records, and having just finished a mammoth tour taking in every inch of the UK. Musically, it's like 1986 all over again, with synths beeping and buzzing, upbeat disco beats and a killer chorus. This whole 1980s revival seems to be fading a bit (e.g. Goldfrapp being, well, a bit crap) but 'Surrender' is one of its better moments.
Dust off the robot impression and track this down.
