By John Mayer
Currently taking the US by storm and on a co-headlining tour with the Counting Crows (much to the chagrin of many CC fans it would seem, upset by Mayer's "teeny bopper following") Mayer is a young man with the world at his feet. This is a re-release and one that is sure to earn him a few more fans. A catchy little number given extra legs by Mayer's slightly husky voice that has earned him comparisons to Dave Matthews and Jakob Dylan (Wallflowers and son of Bob) this is a tale of youth and wanting to make something of oneself. With a bridge that is actually a stronger hook than the chorus it's hard to shake this tune from your head once you've heard it. The middle 8 "I am invincible, I am invincible as long as I'm alive" is a little week but it's then back into that delightful keyboard melody and remembering the first verse's "I'd like to think the best of me is still hiding up my sleeve" all is forgiven. Promising.
