On receiving Clarkesville's album 'The Half Chapter' (Clarkesville being Michael Clarke) I was highly impressed, part of the reason being this single. Opening with a 'four on the floor' drum beat the song springs to life in an instant. The backing vocals in the verse and the addition of synth and use of electronic drums in places give this son the edge over standard indie fare. A cracking vocal melody and use of phrase are the biggest hooks in a song where you can take your pick. "I'm so tired of being everybody's run-around, being left along the wayside when they go" begins the chorus but with more tunes like this up his sleeve Michael Clarke should have no more fears about being left behind. Anyone looking for an antidote for the dourness of Coldplay could do worse than to start looking here.
