Der Dang Der Dang

By Archie Bronson Outfit

This is the second album from the retro-blues rock group Archie Bronson Outfit. Hailing from the West Country before relocating to South West London, they studied art with, amongst others, members of The Duke Spirit. You can certainly hear similarities and references to the music of their comrades and contemporary peers in the music of Archie Bronson Outfit, which by no way or means is a negative on their part.

They rock hard and they rock loud but maybe to a level that is detrimental to the band themselves. They do have monster guitar riffs, but the repetitiveness of these riffs does catch up over time. Some may say that their uncanny knack of hooking you with one song and repeating this continuously is an excellent ploy, if people like one song then they will like them all. A tad repetitive but overwhelmingly successful. They are technically accomplished song writers, but a bit of originality wouldn't hurt.

This album is the fuckin business. Originality is overrated. Sincerity is what counts. The Archie Bronson Outfit have got to be one of the best acts this country has produced in years.

5 out of 5. Come a reviewer, get it right!

The House of correction.
