New City Centre Music Festival Announced: Across The Tracks
Live music venues The HiFi Club and The Faversham have this week announced the arrival of a brand new city centre music festival for the city of Leeds. Across The Tracks will take place on the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July 2006 at Granary Wharf, and will feature an open air stage, an enclosed marquee and an additional indoor stage within the Blank Canvas venue. The venue is the site of the old Leeds 'Jazz On The Waterfront' festivals.
Although the line up has yet to be revealed - May 2nd is the date to add into your diary! - Leeds music fans are promised a diverse line up representing the various music policies across the organisers' three club and live music venues (The HiFi Club, Wire and The Faversham).
There will be a strong emphasis on new and interesting music as well as local bands, with a music policy across the board from guitar, electro, indie and folk to funk, soul, jazz, hip hop and more with both live bands and DJs.
