I, I, I, I, I, I...many thanks for your honest opinion

Zero 7 are a funny one. I absolutely loved their first album 'Simple Things' and could often be found lounging out in my garden on a hot summer's day listening to their chilled out electro beats. Ooo! Those were the days.
However this current single 'Throw It All Away' does nothing for me at all. It feels really weak and twee. The Spanish guitars that I used to love feel soulless, the funky bass line don't feel funky any more and the lyrics just ramble on about nothing in particular.
I'm sorry to be so scathing about this record but I have to say that I'm really disappointed. I wanted to be excited by this record but there's just nothing for me to get excited about because compared to previous Zero 7 material this is really rather lightweight.
I mean it's alright, it's a half decent tune, but nothing else. An average pop record from a band who really have the potential to do so much more.
