The Wombats are Matthew Murphy (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass, vocals) and Dan Haggis (drums, vocals).2007 has been an incredible year for The Wombats. Starting the year back in February as the first unsigned band ever to sell out the 1,200 capacity Liverpool Carling Academy, the band have toured tirelessly ever since. In the second half of the year alone they completed a 53-date headline tour, co-headlined a tour with The Holloways, and supported The Enemy on the NME Rock'n'Roll Riot tour. The success story looks set to escalate even further in 2008: they will kick off the year by playing to 100,000 people from a carpark roof in Liverpool for the opening event of the Capital of Culture festivities.
